Now celebrating 15 years within the field of design and manufacturing of custom switchmode power supplies, Ferrus Power Ltd. of Peterborough, have announced a record increase in overall turnover for the financial period Nov 02 to Oct 02 of £2.1M. This represents an increase from £1.4M for the same financial period of the previous year.

Managing Director, Alistair Parkinson, says ' Our overall growth over the last 12 months has largely been attributed not only to a consistent increase within the level of medically approved products supplied world wide, but also to a streamlining of our manufacturing techniques. One of the major changes was the implementation of surface mount technology along with the latest test and inspection equipment which not only improved our manufacturing capabilities but also enabled us to provide a much higher power density product where required '.

'This coupled with an increase of repeat business from our existing customer's has provided us with a solid order book for the foreseeable future, with a corresponding peace of mind in these troubled times '.

With further improvements underway to include an extension to our Peterborough factory to increase our capacity from 6000sqft to 12000sqft, along with additional ATE equipment to assist with the testing of new product Ferrus hopes to increase overall sales to £3M by the end of 2003.
