August 2007- 480W programmable power supply for IP65 sealed enclosure

We developed this 480W open frame programmable power supply for an application requiring precision control of output voltage and current.

As the customer has more than one application for the product we designed the product to operate from either an AC input of 12 to 48Vac, or DC input of 12 to 50Vdc.

As the product is driven from an isolation transformer a primary to secondary insulation barrier was not required - thus reducing costs and improving efficiencies.

3 selectable output voltage ranges are available of 0-12, 0-24 or 0-48Vdc with control of voltage and/or current via external 0-5Vdc signal. Each range is protected against overvoltage and overcurrent. A 12V 0.5A auxiliary supply is also provided to drive ancillary circuits.

Both current and voltage output can be monitored via signals provided ( current range switchable ).

This product is specifically designed for mounting within a sealed cast aluminium enclosure with cooling via conduction to an internal 15mm wall face.
